Fred Heppner is the President and principal inspector of Heppner Associates, Inc. of Fairfax, Virginia. He has been a full time home inspector since 1989 and has performed over 8,000 home inspections. He has been involved in all phases of the construction industry for over 25 years. Fred, who is ASHI certified member #011586, serves as the Governor's appointee on the state board which certifies home inspectors in Virginia. He has held leadership positions in professional organizations for home inspectors on the local, state and national levels. These include serving as a founding member and past president of the Northern Virginia Chapter of ASHI and founding member and first president of the state organization for home inspectors. Fred has also served on the Council of Representatives for ASHI. He has taught home inspection courses for five years and is currently an instructor at the ITA facility in Manassas, Virginia.
