The following is a list of colleagues with whom I may have little more than a peripheral relationship. I strive to list competent ethical professionals. However, this listing should be construed as neither an endorsement nor a recommendation.
Thanks Hollis. The course was very informative and like all good educational courses the participant realizes how little they know from day one. I’m passionately looking forward to providing good informative service with consumer protection at the fore front of my business. In a lot of ways I believe the home inspection business will provide a more rewarding career than the valuation industry.

Thorospec exceeded my expectations in every way. In particular, I worked with Hollis, who was knowledgeable, well-spoken, and timely. To sum up,
• Thorospec is very easy to work with in terms of scheduling • The inspections are thorough while being fair and balanced • You get an opportunity to truly learn about the property when working with Hollis
To provide some background, I had to have three inspections since my first two homes did not work out after negotiations in pricing. So, I was able to get a lot of experience working with Thorospec. To start, Thorospec is very easy in terms of scheduling. Scheduling only takes a phone call, and Mich, the scheduler, always made it easy to find a workable time slot. With respect to the inspection, Hollis was always on time and prepared, which allowed us to start promptly.
Once you are in the inspection, Hollis is very knowledgeable about property condition from top to bottom. Hollis provided more information about property condition than I ever expected. As an example, he always took the time to thoroughly inspect the HVAC, explaining each step of the combustion process so that I understood how the systems operated. Another example of the thoroughness of the inspection is when he found a small leak tucked behind a sink, which could only be seen through a small crawl space in the attic – my gut feeling is that other inspectors would have missed something like this. At end, Hollis’ depth of expertise shows through in the thorough inspection report, which is well organized and full of color photographs. This document was very useful for me when it came time for post-inspection negotiations, and now that I finally secured a home, I plan to use the document for my future home maintenance/risk management as well.
Last but not least, Hollis’ experience as an instructor shows during the inspection. You really get an opportunity to learn about your home both positive and negative conditions. He is fair and balanced so you will get accurate information about each property condition and remediation techniques if applicable. Hollis always welcomed questions, and he always gave me fair information while letting me make my own decisions. I can obviously recommend Hollis on a number of dimensions, and I think anyone needing a home inspection will get a tremendous value for his time.
