National Association of Home Inspectors

The National Association of Home Inspectors, Inc. (NAHI) was established in 1987 as a nonprofit association to promote and develop certified and licensed home inspectors in the professional home inspection industry. The mission of the National Association of Home Inspectors is to promote excellence and professionalism in the Home Inspection industry; to provide a home inspector standards of practice and a code of ethics for home inspectors in the USA. The national home inspector association also educates its home inspector members and informs the public of the benefits and scope of a professional home inspection.

Associate Membership
Requirements:
  • 40 Hour Training Course

    20 fee paid inspections
  • Continuing Education
    (8 hrs/year)
Regular Membership
Requirements:
  • Pass:
    • NAHI CRI Exam
    • National Home Inspector Exam
    • California Real Estate Inspection Association Exam
  • 100 fee paid home inspections
  • Continuing Education
    (8 hrs/year)
NAHI CRI Membership
Requirements:
  • Pass NAHI CRI Exam
  • 250 fee paid home inspections
  • Continuing Education
    (16 hrs/year)

NAHI members agree to comply with the NAHI Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.
