A person desiring to be licensed as a home inspector in South Carolina must complete an application prepared by the Commission and submit along with the appropriate fee set by the Commission. After approval, the applicant must take the home inspector licensing examination. Upon successful completion of the exam, the Commission will issue a license authorizing the applicant to engage in the business of home inspection in South Carolina. The license is renewable Bi-annually.
The following persons are not required to be licensed as a home inspector in order to perform home inspections.
